Ryoland Motocross Grand Prix II
The Rynoland Motocross Grand Prix II was held on Saturday, May 1, 2010. The perfect weather, large racer turnout and fantastic track conditions led to some great racing! The challenging track, which ran through Rynoland’s upper MX track, around the GP track and back through the Ryno Institute Training track, was a huge hit for racers and spectators alike.
ICG Racing’s “Nando” Huerta Jr had a great race and overcame a second lap bike stall to take 2nd place in the youth race 85cc/150cc class. Congratulations to our new buddy, Chase Henderson (pictured with Fernando) who took 2nd place in the 65cc class!
Nick Sandez and Erick Luck, who will be making up part of the ICG Racing/THX Transport/GLS Spray Services 2010 Baja 500 team also had great performances and finished in the top portion of their respective classes. Good luck in the Baja 500 guys!
MARCH 2010
S.C.O.R.E. San Felipe 250
The 42nd Annual S.C.O.R.E. San Felipe 250 included approximately 274 entries from 25 states and nine countries. The race, know as the “Little Brother” of the S.C.O.R.E. Race Series (the longer S.C.O.R.E. Baja 500 and Baja 1000 are run later in the year), took place in Mexico’s picturesque fishing village of San Felipe, located 120 miles south of the U.S. border on the East side of the Baja California peninsula. The race included competition in 28 Pro and 6 Sportsman classes in the grueling 248 mile race.
ICG Racing teamed up with race partners THX Racing and GLS Spray Services to field a motorcycle team for the 24th Annual Tecate S.C.O.R.E. San Felipe 250. Initial plans were drafted up to run a quad in the race, but this later changed to an entry of a motorcycle into Class 21. Despite a few mechanical difficulties faced by Team 103x, we finished the challenging 2010 San Felipe 250 in 7:17:20 (Teams are given 11 hours to finish the race). We placed 6th in Class 21 and avoided being one of the over 98 participants (out of approximately 274 motorcycles, Atvs, Trophy Trucks, Buggies, etc...) that Did Not Finish (DNF).
The entire team (Riders, Support Riders, Mechanics, Pit Crews, Chase Teams, etc...) are all looking forward to S.C.O.R.E.'s next race...The Baja 500!
